Experience the Bhutan that only Few Travelers Get to See!
Offering a classic trekking condition, from remote farmland through dense, lush forests and ascends into the lofty realm above tree line with breathtaking mountain views. This is one of our most familiar wilderness treks. It is an ideal adventure for nature lovers if you choose this Himalayan wilderness trek.
We trace a loop starting and ending at the evocative ruins of Drukgyal Dzong (fortress of the Victorious Drukpas), Prayer flags flutter alongside the trail, sending blessings skyward in a land where farmers and remote yak herder’s eke a tenuous living from the highlands. You will hike through the heart of wildlife-rich Jigme Dorji Wangchuk National Park, where you keep your eyes peeled for rare Blue sheep, musk deer, snow leopard, black bear and takin. The sky-piercing peaks, thunderous waterfalls, turquoise lakes and streams, rolling meadows filled with wildflowers and dense forests of rhododendron, juniper and fir provide the backdrop for this inspiring and challenging adventure. You will be rewarded with close views of Bhutan’s two most beautiful sacred peaks – Chomolhari and Jichu Drakye near the foot of Bhutanese-Tibetan border.
